Among the tuner`s most outstanding programs, the M2, M3 or M4 models are the stars, all featuring impressive aero kits and upgrades underneath the skins. However, in a premiere, the tuner has also released its work on the brand new M2 Competition, the M2`s more potent sibling.

The process of upgrading a BMW is not easy and comes with a series of challenges at the exterior. What technicians did first was installing an in-house built stainless steel exhaust system with four tailpipes, which provides the new ride with “a sporty-sonorous and unmistakable” sound.

Next is the adding of a new spring set which lowers the car`s ride height and increases its stability, while the new brakes with 400 mm discs and 8-piston calipers ensure improved braking in tight corners or at high-speeds. Also, to improve handling and drive, a new set of club-sport coil-overs were also fitted.

A couple of visual adjustments were also required in order to cope with the higher power. They are also important to improve aerodynamics and thus increase the car`s sprint from standstill to 100 km/h. These refer to bespoke front spoiler lip with side flaps, 9 x 20-inch and 10.5 x 20-inch, front and rear wheels, as well as custom rear spoiler and of course, a rear wing for more downforce.

The result is the two stages of power available on the model in question. The first brings the car to a total of 510 PS and 700 Nm of torque, while the second power kit refers to an impressive 540 PS and 730 Nm of torque.

With the new visual enhancements and mechanics, and with the factory speed limited removed, this lad here is capable of achieving incredible accelerations.

The main advantage of the M2 Coupe is that it comes with an aerodynamic body style which allows for in-depth modifications, adding plenty of aftermarket body parts on top of the M goodies it already came with.

However, among the top notch modifications we have seen so far, only one depicted it with a convertible body style, the program being carried out by Dahler Design. Now, we get the chance of seeing it in a second droptop project, thanks to technicians from the German tuner Lightweight.

The tuner`s program is called LW M2 Cabriolet and comes with a completely new bodywork (it is based on the 2-Series Convertible), meaning new front fascia and front hood, fenders, rear bumper and diffuser, rear lip spoiler or side skirts.

There are also other body parts that need to be mentioned and which are in-house built – two-piece front spoiler, kidney inserts and rear diffuser. There is also the new Bilstein Clubsport suspension system and the 20-inch and 21-inch front and rear alloy wheels.

As for interior changes, the BMW LW M2 Cabriolet by Lightweight has received a couple of adjustments that enhance the overall look, such as carbon fiber fascia panels, Alcantara leather steering wheel, as well as pieces from the genuine M2 Coupe, like black Nappa leather.

In the engine department, the new M2 Cabriolet features the standard N55 six-cylinder engine with a slight power output. To achieve 428 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, there had to be some modifications made, like adding a 300 cell downpipe or titanium rear muffler with bespoke carbon tailpipes.

This particular BMW M2 is unique on account of its special livery. The design was created by two artists and is supposed to detail a true story. I have seen hundreds of projects on BMW M2 Coupe, but I have never seen such a profound take. I am just crazy about the program and I decided to let you know about it too.

Besides the Black Sapphire Metallic exterior wrap which enhances its extremely aggressive look and attitude, this crazy M2 has also received HRE`s freshest set of wheels and a carbon fiber aero kit.

The wheels are finished in Satin Black and measure 19 x 9.5 and 19 x 10.5 front and rear, respectively, and are part of the tuner`s Series P1, which are the best-selling forged wheels ever. They increase the car`s grip and stability and provide more downforce, especially since they sit on a monoblock platform.

As for the car`s looks, the owner chose a carbon fiber aero kit which is a killer in contrast with the new wheels and magnificent Black Sapphire. It involves a new carbon-fiber front-splitter, rear decklid spoiler and rear diffuser, all of them increasing the M2`s airflow and stability.

Performance wise, this M2 Coupe still comes with the stock 3.0-liter straight-six M TwinPower Turbo engine, developing 370 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Equipped with a six-speed manual, the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is done in 4.5 seconds, but with the seven-speed M Dual Clutch Transmission, the model runs the same straight line in an impressive 4.3 seconds. The topping is electronically limited at 250 km/h.

The BMW M2 is probably one of the best choices amongst the models offered by this particular manufacturer. With a personality of its own, the M2 is easy to fall in love with. A very interesting project is presented to you by Lightweight Performance tuner, which has added a lot of power to the below M2 Coupe.

Not the first M2 to receive the S55 engine found on the M3 and M4, our model in question is bragging with plenty of power and torque.

We are looking here with the same 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with water injection system from the M4 GTS, meaning that it churns out around 612 horsepower and impressive 767 Nm of torque.

However, during several testing on the track, the power seemed to be too much for the model, especially since it comes with a lightweight chassis, which made the tuner downgrade the power to 590 horsepower and 737 Nm of torque.

Besides the power upgrade, the model has also received some new visual features, like carbon fiber rear wing or the 19-inch alloy wheels, coming with 265/35 and 295/30 front and rear Michelin Cup2 tires. The cabin also received sports seats, roll cage, new driving modes and head-up display.

This allows an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds, at a top speed of 250 km/h.

One particular tuning company that has become pretty close to the model is the California-based European Auto Source aftermarket shop, which has carried out amazing programs involving the car`s exterior and performance under the hood.

The tuner`s latest project is the below M2 Coupe wrapped in Alpine White, which looks smashing with the new carbon aero kit.
