The current BMW M5 CS facelift is the most powerful, lightest and most expensive M5 ever. But the German tuning company G-Power has found a new way to push the limits of the Bavarian sedan even further: with a series of performance packages, of course.

The basic package is called GP-700 and increases the power of the twin-turbo V8 engine, 4.4 liters, to 700 horsepower and 850 Nm, thanks to software improvements. Then comes the GP-740 with 740 hp and 900 Nm, and the GP-780 increases with another 40 hp and 50 Nm.

In addition to the software changes, the GP-820 version also offers some hardware, which is why the power rises to 820 hp and 1,000 Nm. The top version, the GP-900, is by far the most impressive.

It includes, among other things, new turbines and a four-millimeter four-end exhaust system. These make the V8 engine develop 900 horsepower and 1,050 Nm.

Aesthetically, G-Power offers forged wheels up to 21 inches in diameter, a carbon hood and a discreet aileron.

The price of the new performance packages varies between 2,495 and 23,640 euros.

This time a BMW M5 was spotted at the sets of the upcoming movie Mission Impossible 7. A recent YouTube video showed the lead actor Tom Cruise driving what looked like a BMW 5 series. On closer inspection, it is revealed that the car is the M5 with its quad exhausts and stylish rear diffuser. What’s more, the M5 was specially modified to fit the requirements of the scene. A camera rig was installed on the roof while the doors were removed to reduced distractions in the shot.

Tom Cruise reportedly does his stunts but given that the action-packed scenes were shot in the narrow streets of Rome, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if a stunt driver was used.

Furthermore, it is not just the sporty M5 that is part of the entire scene but two other supercars are used as ‘chase vehicles’. The well-known and highly acclaimed Nissan GT-R and the Porsche Cayenne both donned in black were also fitted with cameras to allow the filming of the BMW M5 chase.

Mission Impossible 7 is still in filming and it is expected that post-production will begin soon. The movie was expected to grace cinema screens all across the globe on June 23^rd, 2021 but the Coronavirus pandemic brought proceedings to a halt. All filming activities were brought to a standstill as the world fought against the virus. The re-shoot began as soon as the virus dimmed down and as a result, the release date is not shifted to 19 November 2021.

However, the SEMA show is also a chance for tuning companies to showcase their latest programs as well. Also from the United States of America comes Dinan, a well-known aftermarket shops that builds impressive tuning projects on high-end models.

If Manhart or Mansory were artists at displaying modified BMW models in Las Vegas in the last years, this year was Dinan`s turn to show-up at the event with a modified BMW ride. And what a project it is, especially since it involves the latest M5 saloon.

Seen below in the media gallery, the BMW M5 by Dinan looks extremely appealing and aggressive with the new body wrap, adding as well a couple of carbon fiber elements around the body. Otherwise, the visuals are rather scarce, while under the hood, the model received a significant amount of new power.

Still on the outside, the BMW M5 by Dinan has been fitted with tinted windows, gloss black and carbon fiber components, dark kidney grille and glossy badges. There are also the new forged wheels with Toyo tires, and which enhance the saloon`s mind-blowing look.

As for any performance under the hood, the tuner has decided to keep it a secret for the moment, meaning that the model is still in heavy transformation. Mind that a program like that might come with more than 800 horsepower, just like G-Power recently did with their own project, so we also expect an impressive power kit.

Everything is possible today, especially in the tuning segment, with plenty of aftermarket shops that offer customized services depending on the model in question. For BMW especially, AC Schnitzer from Germany has become a dedicated tuner, willing to satisfy your wildest dreams.

For the BMW M5 Competition, the technicians from AC Schnitzer are also throwing in some amazing customizations. One particular model has popped up at BMW Abu Dhabi Motors with a custom aero kit and new power under the hood.

For the model in question, AC Schnitzer have added a spectacular body wrap, along with the amazing body kit made from carbon fiber. This makes the M5 Competition more radical in terms of design.

The body kit comes with bespoke front splitter, carbon fiber front spoiler, carbon fiber ‘Racing’ rear wing, rear diffuser, carbon fiber side skirts, rear rood spoiler, high-gloss black accents on the grille, mirror caps and rear bumper, as well as the “Competition” badge. The mods also continue inside, with plenty of new features to separate it from the standard M5 Competition.

The power of this M5 Competition has also been modified. In standard form, the sports car comes with 617 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. However, with the tuner`s ECU remapping and a couple of more mechanical enhancements, this lad here is now capable of churning out no less than 690 horsepower and staggering 850 Nm of torque.

With the factory sprint from standstill to 100 km/h performed in 3.3 seconds, with the new power kit, the BMW M5 Competition by AC Schnitzer is now able to perform the same distance in around 3.0 seconds, which is mind-blowing.

Even with such a reputation, people still decided to improve the BMW M5 E39. In the case of one particular owner, upgrading the E39 proved to be a bad idea. Using parts from radically different BMW models, like the M4 and M3, the owner of this particular M5 E39 ruined the balance that defined this particular vehicle. This BMW now looks like a mix between three different cars. In fact, the identity of this BMW M5 has been hidden behind all those M4 and M3 parts. This car could easily be identified as Frankenstein’s car. While the car is not completely ugly, the BMW model mix is definitely something that most would consider weird.

The white color of the vehicle partly saves the look of the car. The integrated parts are less visible in white. Still, if you take a closer look, you can immediately notice the horrendous mix of parts from different BMW vehicles. The parts were adapted to fit perfectly with this BMW M5 E39. It is the different styles of these parts that turn this car into an unconvincing build. The front of this particular BMW M5 E39 is wide, while the back is quite narrow.

This particular project build shows that mixing BMW vehicles is not really a great idea. Such a project could be interesting to see. The end result will always be strange on account of all the different styles integrated within one car. You could say this is something more of an experiment. The aim of such projects can only be to see why you shouldn’t combine parts from different car models in one single build. There is no doubt about the fact that this particular BMW M5 E39 is ruined by the added modifications. While a lot of work might have been put into this particular build, the result is simply unconvincing.

The vehicle’s engine, a 5 liter V10, outputs 500HP in its stock form. This is enough even for the most competitive drivers out there. G-Power decided to further upgrade the engine and allow it to produce an incredible 690HP, that’s about 190HP extra. This upgrade is a perfect fit for the E60/E61 and Touring variants of the M5. While there is no information regarding how fast the car is at this point, the price, 20.000 dollars, is enough to convince anyone of the quality and amount of work put in this particular build. G-Power also offers another upgrade choice for the engine that further raises the engine’s performance, allowing it to produce an unbelievable 987HP.

While the engine of the vehicle has received quite a number of upgrades, the exterior was kept rather simple. With a lower stance and a new set of rims, this M5 seems perfect for those seeking a car that is powerful, yet as stock-looking as possible. This particular vehicle was already beautiful. Not much could have been done to improve its looks, which is why the guys over at G-Power decided to go for a much simpler, classic look. The added rims and the new stance do give the car a more aggressive look.

G-Power has managed again to create a very powerful BMW. The amount of work put into this project was huge. You can tell by looking at the end result. This BMW M5 is a beast kept in the manufacturer’s original form. You could easily be fooled by the looks of this car. It looks stock, but the upgrades under the hood make it only look like that. Without a doubt, no real BMW fan would pass the chance to drive this particular vehicle. For those that own such a car and want to turn it into something unique, G-Power is the way to go.

Alpina is BMW`s special and most prestigious tuning division that builds hardcore versions from BMW, and each time the German carmaker creates a one-off M model for instance, Alpina “counterattacks” with a tuned variant.

In this case, the BMW M5 wasn’t enough and Alpina fought back with the all-new B5 Bi-Turbo, which now quietly rests in Abu Dhabi, wearing a special paintjob and coming with awesome characteristics.

This is indeed a special Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo, extremely fast and capable of incredible acceleration that would definitely leave behind a stock M5, if fitted with the optional M Driver`s Package.

Besides the exclusive blue paintjob, this Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo is also wearing the tuner`s decals along the belt line, which makes it extremely aggressive and one of a kind.

Also, at the interior, the B5 abounds in brown leather with white contrast stitching, adding as well wood trim on the door panels and dashboard. More than that, there is also the black leather on the upper dash with brown contrast stitching, which increases the interior`s luxurious feel.

Underneath its skin, the all-new Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo is a monster on wheels. It packs no less than 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, quite noticeable than the M5`s 750 Nm of torque. This also means a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, making it a tad slower than the M5, with just 0,1 seconds.

However, if you decide to unlock the car`s top speed, you could get 305 km/h and a better sprint. On the other hand, the optional M Driver`s Package provides a topping of 330 km/h, with a more impressive sprint from standstill to 100 km/h.

The 20 inch rims on this vehicle wrap up the build, further adding to the aggressive, sporty, mean look of the car.

No matter how you look at this project build, Vossen has lived, once again, to its reputation. This BMW M5 F10 is a car any real fan of the Bavarian manufacturer would love to add to his or her private car collection. The balance between the car’s performance and look is staggering.
