The technicians from 3D Design have applied some cool carbon fiber components on the M140i. First off, there is a carbon fiber lip added on the M Sport front bumper and which increases its sporty looks.

Next, the rear received a carbon fiber diffuser with two exhaust pipes that might announce a power boost, or at least it should improve the engine`s wild revving. On top of that, 3D Design also installed an in-house built stainless exhaust system.

Overall, the new visuals applied at the front and rear end provide an exceptional look, especially since this model come with a gray metallic paintjob. This ride is exactly how is should have been in the right place when it went out the factory.

Under the hood, the BMW M140i seen here comes with the stock 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine, which delivers a pur e340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive configuration.

The tuning project has a name: ACS1 and comes with a lot of updated body styling and mechanics that makes it extremely powerful.

At the exterior, the model got some slight changes, thanks to the new front spoiler with add-ons, rear roof spoiler or tailpipes at the rear end, the latter one being part of the new complete exhaust system.

Under the hood, the AC Schnitzer BMW ACS1 comes with a new power kit, fully tweaked with updated mechanics, which transforms it in one of the most powerful 1 Series models ever built.

We are looking here at the AC Schnitzer`s new and large intercooler, engine software upgrade, 200 cell motorsport catalysts, wide 76 mm tubes as well as a specially-prepared exhaust system with 2x lambda sensor connections.

In the stock form, the BMW 1 Series 120d packs a modest 180 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque, but thanks to the new power kit and mechanics, this model is capable of churning out a good 218 horsepower and 455 Nm of torque.

The BMW M135i is a lovely yet a beast German car, with an extremely evolutionary design and sheer performance under the hood.

Speaking about performance, the M135i packs a 3.0-liter six-cylinder inline unit, which produces 326 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, enough to reach 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds. The manual transmission sends the power to the rear axle. With the eight-speed automatic, the model reaches the same straight-line in 4.9 seconds.

All the power wasn`t altered by the tuning program carried out by the folks from DCM Design tuner. Instead, the technicians have wrapped the model with an extremely eye-catching wrap without affecting the car`s stock yet gorgeous looks.

As we can depict from the pictures below, we are looking here at an extremely menacing BMW M135i, all dressed-up with a matte black body wrap with yellow accents.

Other standout fetures refer to the transparent protective foil for the headlights, alloy wheels wrapped in gunmetal as well as the brake calipers in yellow. The result is a truely menacing and aggressive BMW M135i.

DCM Design tuner have also released a media gallery with their latest project and I have to say that the model looks extremely cool. If I had such a model, I would definetely go for the matte black wrap and yellow accents! Would you?

However, even matted to an M engine, some exhausts resonate properly, while others…well, don’t. This one here was caught on camera in Monaco, and has been paired with a 3.0 liter turbocharged, inline-6 engine, signed by the M specialists.

The powertrain produces 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque, which makes us understand that its sound should be more than good. In fact, it’s thrilling, no matter the exhaust system. That’s if you have enough time to listen to it, since it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.

However, that AK47 Exhaust is more than a performer when you push the accelerator. It pops, bangs and crackles in the scariest way, as soon as you take your foot off the pedal. And that’s what makes it so special. It is, indeed, one of the loudest BMW 1M we’ve ever heard, if not the loudest.

But let’s keep in mind that the F1 tunnel in Monaco is one of the best resonating passages in the world, so this also amplifies the car’s excellent sound. Actually, when passing through that section, the BMW 1M sounds like a machine gun. I can only imagine it in wouldn’t be a good idea to own one in a war zone!

Ever since its release on the market, the BMW 1M Coupe has been the subject of a lot of aftermarket shops, which modified its design and added some power boosts under the hood. And OK-Chiptuning is also that tuner which has managed to revive this little beast.

We are talking about the fitting of an ECU mapping for the straight-six turbo unit, along with the Evo 2 Performance intercooler and new downpipes from Wagner Tuning. Additionally, the Eisenmann race exhaust system and the Sachs performance clutch have been also installed.

With all these power upgrades, this gorgeous BMW 1M Coupe is capable of producing 450 horsepower and 714 Nm of torque, which is quite significant from the stock 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.

To increase its stance and driving dynamics, the OK-Chiptuning have also added the 20-inch Schmidt CC-line wheels, monotube coilovers from H&R, mirror caps, carbon fiber rear diffuser, radiator grilles and some minor changes inside, like the M Performance steering or the new gear knob. No prices were announced for this tuned BMW 1M Coupe.

There is no surprise that the rear axle gets wider wheels as this helps with traction and control. The ADV.1 rims got a multi-spoke design and a black finish. Besides the new set of wheels, this particular BMW 1-Series M Coupe benefits from a special grey wrap and a new rear spoiler.

Power is offered by an improved 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine, known as N54. With a total output of 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, the small German model is also fast, not just good-looking.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s an overboost function that adds extra 50 Nm of torque when you need them. Taking this car from a standstill to 100 km/h takes only 4,3 seconds with a top speed limited at 250 km/h.

The model is fitted with a six-speed manual transmission, so you’ll get a better feeling while pushing the pedal to the floor.

I can understand that, as the 3 Series has pretty much all it needs to attract tuners: a decent price, good performance and looks that are not that bad on the eyes.

Some might argue that the BMW 1M also has all those qualities, but still a tuned version is quite rare. This is mostly due to the relatively small numbers in which it was produced. That’s exactly why, when you look at this particular E82 BMW 1M, you have to admire it.

It was dressed in Revozport panels all around, which, coupled with uncommon paintjob and the new set of wheels, really makes the vehicle stand out in a crowd. As for performance enhancements, we don’t really know if it has any. Maybe a reworked ECU for a little extra oomph?

With the really rare cars, that perform well and look awesome, tuning is quite the challenge, as adding or removing something can completely ruin an otherwise beautiful ride.

The BMW M1 is not that rare of a car, but you can’t say it is mass produced, either, so not many have found their way on the hands of tuners. This BMW 1M did, and the guys from Precision Sport Industries went to town on it, in a good way. They modified not just appearance, but also performance figures.

Power was upped with a AFE Stage 2 intake, Forge Motorsport intercooler and a Evolve Stage 2 kit, while visually, a larger array of parts were installed. Beginning with the Akrapovic Evolution exhaust tailpipes, front splitter and rear diffuser and ending with flared wheel arches sheltering new BBS FI Titanium wheels, the look of the BMW 1M was improved by PSI, to an end result that is satisfying without messing too much with the car.

Still, they can have different features and trims thanks to the M Performance Parts program the car maker is running.

Recently, a BMW dealership in Abu Dhabi presented a special M135i that underwent tuning using M Performance Parts. Called the BMW M135i M Performance Special Edition, this particular Bimmer has pretty much anything you can add to it. From the exhaust system to carbon fiber mirrors, they don’t seem to have missed anything.

The result is not a bad looking car per se, but it does look a bit too much. Still, coming from the Arab Emirates, this is not at all unusual. It seems they have cultivated a particular opulence when it comes to anything they can buy, and while the owner of one such M135i M Performance Special Edition might not really need all the extra features, it does make a point of what his status is, because affording all of it isn’t easy.

And even if we are to put aside the improved airflow and extra power a custom exhaust brings, we are still left with the pure noise it delivers.

Battles between BMWs equipped with aftermarket exhaust systems are quite common among enthusiasts, and while most would agree that there is a definite difference between revving your engine in neutral and really giving it all on the road, sometimes it’s easier to just let loose in a parking lot.

Gathering a few BMW M135i, a sound-off battle royale was organized, just to see which tuner provides the most noise with their respective product. Measured in decibels, there was not that big a difference, but overall BCS was the loudest. If It were up to me, decibels wouldn’t be the way to go, but rather a 3 person jury.
