The BMW X5M and X6M are a well-known basis for tuning. This is due to the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which has proven to have a lot of potential. The Bavarian V8 develops 625 horsepower and 750 Nm in its most powerful version (available on Competition models).

Dähler, a Swiss tuning company, said the cars were not fast enough. As a result, they offer the possibility to increase engine performance to 700 horsepower and 840 Nm of torque. Optionally, you can also choose to raise the maximum speed to 302 km / h. All these are available for a price of 3,986 euros.

A second level of tuning is under development and promises 740 horsepower and 880 Nm.

The changes don’t just stop in the engine management area. For 5,780 euros, Dähler also offers a 116 mm stainless steel exhaust system. Also, a set of sports springs is available for 1,375 euros, and to complete the exterior, the Swiss also provide a set of 23-inch forged rims.

The rims, called CDC1, can be ordered in different colors and are priced at 13,382 euros. Last but not least, Dähler claims that they are 35% lighter than conventional ones.

The tuning company has not forgotten the owners of the BMW X5 M50i for which it has prepared a tuning package that can raise the power from 530 to 630 horsepower, and the torque will be identical to that of the X5M: 840 Nm (improved from 750 Nm). A 101 mm four-outlet stainless steel exhaust can also be ordered.

Besides the impressive power kits, G-Power has also turned its attention towards detailing the exterior of its projects, creating insane aero packages with aggressive looks.

The tuner`s latest project is the below BMW X5M Typhoon, now coming with a wide aero kit and increased power under the hood. To demonstrate how good they are in what they do, the aftermarket specialists have also released a video which thoroughly explains their impressive work.

Visually, the BMW X5M Typhoon by G-Power now comes with wider air intakes up front, massive fender flares, dynamic side skirts or rear bumper with 102 mm diameter tailpipes. The overall design looks smashing with the huge 23-inch ultra-forged alloy wheels, wrapped in 315/23ZR23 high-performance tires.

In the engine department, this lad here received some important new tweaks, and that in order to increase the 4.4-liter`s output.

We are looking here at the tuner`s well-known Bi-Tronik 2 V3 engine control software, with new turbines that are now faster, adding as well a titanium sports exhaust system with stainless steel downpipes and four wide exit pipes. What’s the best way to have a different looking car? Surely, you have to paint it in an original color. Or, at least, wrap it in a color full of personality. Well, that’s what these guys did: they took a BMW X5M and dressed it in blue. Not any kind of blue, but a Long Beach Blue-like, to transform it in a proper M-version of the X5 model.

Who are these guys? European Auto Source is their name, and they are known as trusted BMW tuners. They chose a new set of wheels, which joins the two colors of the body: black and blue. Under the car, there’s a new, louder Eisenmann Race exhaust system, which adds some ponies to the 575 stud of horses.

The exhaust is the only modification brought to the V8, twin-turbo engine, so we expect a torque in the vicinity of the original 750 Nm, and an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h of 4.2 seconds, just like the factory version.

So, do you like it? I must admit that I’m still looking at it, and I can’t decide what I feel. It looks interesting, but it’s a little too flashy for my tastes. However, when you pay about $100.000 for a car, you have all the right to personalize it however you wish, without wondering what others think about it.
