German technicians from Hamann presented their new BMW M4, the gorgeous coupe coming with a new aero kit and impressive performance. What really makes this model special is its ability of reaching amazing top speeds on short distances. Well, not that short.

The BMW M4 presented in the video below by Hamann itself was able to reach a staggering 306.4 km/h in just three kilometers, with the stock 250 km/h top speed being achieved in one kilometer. To create such amazing records, such a model has to be thoroughly customized both at the exterior as well as under the hood.

To create more downforce and achieve greater stability on the track at such incredible speeds, Hamann technicians have added a special aerodynamic package and extremely lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Continental tires, which are able to withstand speeds up to 340 km/h, so the aforementioned speed is just a fraction of what the car could really achieve.

The car`s performance has also been updated. We are dealing here with 517 horsepower and impressive 700 Nm of torque, quite impressive than the stock 431 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, squeezed out from the same 3.0-liter straight-six inline engine.

All the variants are fast, no doubt about it. You can opt for diesel or gasoline – it doesn’t matter: either way, you’ll get top performance. In the top of the range, there’s the mighty M6 Gran Coupe, which puts under the acceleration pedal 560 hp and 680 Nm of torque, enough to allow a 4.2 seconds acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h.

However, there are people out there who find these numbers rather insufficient, and here the German tuner, Hamann, gets into the scene. They upgrade even the most powerful 6 Series Gran Coupe, the M6, offering 90 extra horses and 170 Nm of torque more. Packed with 650 hp and 850 Nm @ 1850 rpm, the V8 engine should help the sports car break the 100 km/h barrier in under 4 seconds. Hamann recommends the M carbon – ceramic brake system, to stop this tremendous force.

Under the body, there’s a four pipe rear muffler, with silver anodized tailpipes, adding visual sportiness and a sporty, adequate sound. More, the body has been lowered even more, with 25 mm, thanks to the new set of progressive springs. A new wheels model – forged or cast – at the costumer’s choice, match the aggressive stance of the modified beast.

Onboard, new aluminum applications for the pedals and footrest are in par with the set of floor mats and the car door LED projector with the Hamann logo.

Both tuners have decided their tasks: Hamann dealt with getting all the mechanical bits while DS Automobile installed them on the F80 M3.

This means that the F80 BMW M3 has received some changes at the body styling and some mechanical components, like a front spoiler lip, a rear diffuser, lower sports suspension as well as the 21-inch multi-spoke Anniversary Evo alloys. DS Automobile completed the job by wrapping the car`s body with the white color.

The list of upgrades continued under the hood, where the M4 received a significant power boost. If in the stock version the F80 BMW M3 packs a 3.0-liter M TwinTurbo Power inline flat-six engine, with 431 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, with the new power kit, the car is capable of churning out 522 horsepower.

The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h has been also improved from the stock 4.3 seconds to an astonishing 4.0 seconds at a topping of 250 km/h. However, we are not sure if the performance was achieved with the six-manual speed or the seven-clutch transmission.

Therefore, most of the tuners love tinkering its engine, while adding a sporty stance. In this case it’s about a Swiss company, named DS Automobile. They took a stock F80 BMW M3 and garnished it with goodies from the German turner Hamann. Adding the front spoiler lip, the rear diffuser, and the 21 inch Anniversary Evo wheels completely changed the M3’s appearance. They could also add a new, more profiled hood, but they kept the original one. Instead, an adjustable rear wing, also provided by Hamann, has been added to bring extra style.

Then, fitting the lower suspension kit added an even more aggressive stance. Next step? Paint the body in white! And, yes, that’s a lot of white. I can’t say I don’t like it, I’m only saying it’s a matter of taste. But looking at the engine output, it’s clear that what’s under the hood isn’t a matter of taste anymore!

From the start, the F80 M3 offered 431 PS and 550 Nm from its inline-6, 3.0 liter engine. This was enough for a 4.3 seconds time to 100 km/h. Now, by changing the exhaust and remapping the ECU, the Swiss tuner extracted 99 horses more, bringing it to 530 PS, which allows reaching 100 km/h from standstill in just 4.0 seconds. Maybe it doesn’t look spectacular, but I think it’s a good balance between performance and reliability.

Since we presented you yesterday a combination between the German F87 M2 and the Italian Supersprint exhaust, which worked perfectly, allow us today to show you a a set of German wheels on a German car. How do you think they match?

Their name is Anniversary Evo, their diameter is 20 inch, and the design with thin spokes is as classy as it can be. Surely, Hamann will offer much more than only a set of wheels for the BMW M2. But they still keep it secret. However, based on their previous works of art, we can bet it’s a kit made of carbon fiber, which includes a new front splitter, continued with side skirts and a generously dimensioned rear diffuser. A big rear wing must also be part of the feast. You can probably buy them separately, as independent parts found in the official offer.

A lowering suspension kit could and probably will be added, bringing extra stability on track while improving the car’s stance on road. Hamann specialists will modify the 365 hp engine, bringing it to the vicinity of 400 hp and shortening the 0-100 km/h acceleration time from 4,1 seconds to (probably) 3.5 seconds. All of these with the help of the newly-developed exhaust.

The interior will be garnished with typically Hamann elements, including pedal set, knobs, shifter and door sills, personalized with the company’s logo.

I wrote before about the Hamann modifications over the X6. But back then, a gasoline engine was involved. But not any gasoline engine. The mother of all the X6’s engines, the V8, 4.4 liter turbo one. Equipping the X6M V8, it deliveres stellar performance, but adjusted by the famous german tuner, it transforms the coupe-SUV into a rocket: 640 hp and 840 Nm @2200 – 5000 rpm.

Lately, Hamann started to work at the top-diesel powertrain from the Bavarian manufacturer: the 3 liter, turbo-diesel V6, which equips the M50d. In its standard configuration, it returns 381 hp and 740 Nm, enough to propel the crossover to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. But that’s only the beginning. After the modifications, Hamann did what it does best: raising the power to 455 hp and 890 Nm. Let’s not forget that we deal with a 2993 cmc engine! That’s an impressive 152 hp / liter!

There’s nothing known about the acceleration or top speed, but looking at the original 0-100 km/h time of 5.2 seconds, we can only imagine (and hope) that a just over 4 seconds could be realistic for this 2.3 tonnes monster.

Well, 2.3 tones in standard version. However, Hamann installed its famous carbon fiber engine hood, which saves 10 kg and a 23 inch lightweight wheels, together with other small weight-saving elements. The body kit widens the SUV by 12 cm, together with its front and rear tracks. Combining it with the suspension kit, which lowers the body, and, therefore, the center of gravity, you have the complete image of a super-stable sports car.
