The PSI tuner has carried out some visual upgrades and the high-performance Hartge wheels to this E30 BMW M3 DTM Replica, the same model which appeared on the cover of the European Car Magazine, last March. The model is actually a reminder of the old school BMW racing cars which used to make quite an impression at the Nurburgring tracks, for instance.

Inside, the cabin of the 1988 E30 BMW M3 DTM Replica has also received sports features, like the roll bar or the bucket seats to make it look like a real racer, while the engine has been also fitted with some performance goodies.

The E30 BMW M3 DTM Replica can now brag with the S50 engine borrowed from the E36 BMW M3, as it is fitted with the new RD Sport RHD headers or the 24 lb injectors, producing a good 282 horsepower. No pricing details have been released!

The same can be said about the latest of their projects, which involves the E89 BMW Z4 roadster.

When the owner brought the Z4 into PSI’s shop, he had a lot of ideas in mind, and the guys delivered in a great way. Right away you can spot the nice Atacama Yellow paint job that goes well with the M Performance gloss black grilles and the M Sport front and rear bumper and the rear diffuser.

For a complete new body, a 3D Design front lip and Tekarbon mirror caps were added. Other visual alteration include the Volk Racing TE37 Formula Silver wheels and H&R lowering springs. On the performance side, PSI installed one COBB V3 ECU kit, Eisenmann exhaust, Evolution Racewerks intercooler and an AFE Stage 2 cold air intake. Enjoy.

The latest project comes from Precision Sport Industries, and is pretty much as basic as the rest of them.

The Sakhir Inferno red BMW M4 has one noticeable new feature: its wheels. Now riding on a full set of 19 inch Volk Racing TE37 wheel finished in hyper bronze. New H&R Super Sport springs were also installed and even some side skirts, for a little more effect.

As I said, as it is, the BMW M4 build is pretty basic, and not exactly what everyone is waiting for. But PSI are not done with it, and promise a lot more changes in the future. Considering this, I believe that maybe they should have waited a bit longer to present it to the world, for a full effect.

Fact is, there are plenty out there that do a splendid job of either boosting performance or upgrading appearance, or even both.

This E46 BMW M3 does rather well on the performance front, with the visuals receiving only a bit fiddling. Apart from new Volk wheels and Bilstein lowering springs, nothing really gives it away. But turn the engine on, and you will find out that actually a lot of work went into the build.

From Active Autowerke, PSI installed the stage 2+ supercharger, giving the BMW M3 a power output of 520 Hp. To that, add a new AA methanol injection and a new fuel system, with the manifolds replaced in order to handle the extra pressure. The black paintjob does a good job of preparing you for the mad experience should you ever take the E46 BMW M3 out for a spin.

With the really rare cars, that perform well and look awesome, tuning is quite the challenge, as adding or removing something can completely ruin an otherwise beautiful ride.

The BMW M1 is not that rare of a car, but you can’t say it is mass produced, either, so not many have found their way on the hands of tuners. This BMW 1M did, and the guys from Precision Sport Industries went to town on it, in a good way. They modified not just appearance, but also performance figures.

Power was upped with a AFE Stage 2 intake, Forge Motorsport intercooler and a Evolve Stage 2 kit, while visually, a larger array of parts were installed. Beginning with the Akrapovic Evolution exhaust tailpipes, front splitter and rear diffuser and ending with flared wheel arches sheltering new BBS FI Titanium wheels, the look of the BMW 1M was improved by PSI, to an end result that is satisfying without messing too much with the car.

In order to prove just how wrong I am, there’s a tuner out there with this name. It’s based in Florida and they’ve just taken on the BMW 1 Series M Coupe.

What should be considered here is the fact that PSI actually stands for Precision Sport Industries and that there’s a few changes to discuss.

If I’m honest, they’re not the most impressive sorts out there since the engine was left intact. All you get for it is an Akrapovic Evolution titanium exhaust system.

That sounds like the most aggressive idea ever but, in reality, the only thing that addition brings to the equation is more noise.

Not really a bad thing but from there on PSI sort of went the lazy route round the tuning of this car. They fitted a KW Suspension system and list a choice of options for the wheels.

Finally, there’s some aerodynamic work done as there’s a new front lip, trunk spoiler and a Revozport rear 2×2 CF diffuser.

The interior receives an Alcantara M steering wheel and some carbon fiber trim. Overall, the project from PSI doesn’t seem to do that much to the 1 Series M Coupe.

They’ve merely added some tweaks here and there and none of them really seem to have taken that much work to make happen.
