New 20-inch alloy wheels fitted with 295/25/20 (front) and 265/30/20 (rear) Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are available. Thanks to the Translucent Frost Finish, they contrast well with the body paint. New front splitter, rocker blades, trunk spoiler and rear diffuser are also offered by Velos Designwerks.

These parts are made of carbon fiber and are sourced from the M Performance parts. A gloss black finish has been applied to the front grille while the M4 badges received the same orange finish for a matched look.

Power improvements for the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine include a special Velos Personal Tuner Software Upgrade, a kit that boost the output by 66 horsepower and 71 lb-ft of torque. To round this off, Velos Designwerks offers a KW V3 Coilovers kit that brings the car closer to the ground.

There’s also an Eisenmann Exhaust system that promises to make you smile every time you push the pedal a little bit harder.

The build is far from complete, but the tuner is so enthusiastic about this, they already published photos with what they managed to do so far, and while the start is good, I hope for more until the finished variant.

They call it “Phase 1”, and it has several improvements, mostly aesthetic. A set of H&R Super Sport Springs were used for lowering the ride, while a nice set of Velos Designwerks Signature Series Monoblock Forged Wheels V1 were fitted. Between the spokes you can see the painted M Sport brakes.

The front end displays other mods, too, like gloss black kidney grille and emblem. So far, the improvements are not that extensive, and we don’t know what they have planned for the BMW 435i, but if they are so excited as to jump the horse and already reveal their progress, the finished product must be really great.

Yet, even if you have enough money to do what you want to you vehicle, it still doesn’t ensure a nice build.

The quality of an aftermarket project mostly depends on the user’s taste and the skill of the one tuning the vehicle. When it comes to professional drivers, there are a few pilots out there with a real eye for quality tuning, as Tony Kanaan proves with his very nice Black sapphire F10 BMW M5.

With the project handled by the guys from Velos Designwerks, the Bimmer is a very nice build, with only aesthetic improvements used. After installing a set of H&R lowering springs, the F10 BMW M5 was hoisted atop some Velos Solo V wheels. Vorsteiner provided the rear diffuser and the front spoiler, and from Eisenmann a nice exhaust system was added. For a nice walkaround and sound test, watch the video below.

This is how and where the tuning companies and enthusiasts come into play and they begin to open yet more ideas of enchantment.

Velos Designwerks have a special treat for us in the form of a special tuning package that really brings the 650i Gran Coupe closer to the streets.

Let’s face it, even though it’s an expensive BMW sedan, it’s had more to do with the Fast and Furious franchise than it has with the Wall Street movies.

Now that a tuning company finally got round to modifying it, the street presence is much more up to spec. It’s not like the young go getting guy was fired.

It’s like he quit his job and he found his college hoodie to jog around in as he figures things out. There’s a lot of expectation and some pressure, but he’s just the kind of guy who can wing it.

Oh yeah, we were talking about a BMW. It got a new bonnet design, a set of lowering springs, lightweight SOLO X forged wheels and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

Add a very cool looking silver paint and some extra performance courtesy of an ECU remap and you’ve got yourself quite the treat.

All these changes have given our “boy” a bit of a rakish look and perhaps a more threatening presence than any PR people would encourage. Which makes it even more interesting.

American tuner Velos Designwerks have just introduced their package for the F10 BMW M5. That’s good. What’s not so good is how similar it looks to their E92 M3.

I know there’s something known as brand identity. I know that Velos probably want their products to stand out as “their products” but that’s not right.

To me, the whole point of tuning is that the car built is “mine” not theirs. It’s not BMW’s, it’s not the tuner’s and it’s definitely not the same as the neighbor’s.

There is some consolation in the fact that the recipe used on the E92, and now on the F10 BMW M5, produces a good looking machine.

Once again, the paint scheme features a white coat highlighted by a few black accents such as the front lip, the side view mirrors and the kidney grilles.

The brake calipers are still painted a rather flashy orange and the alloy wheels are similarly based around a five spoke design.

These ones are sourced from HRE. What is a bit more annoying than the similarity is the fact that Velos Designwerks still didn’t mention what tires are used.

Another lack of information approach is used on the new rear diffuser and “sports exhaust” setup that goes under the back of the M5.

You’d imagine people would be interested in details like this. It doesn’t matter anyway if your car is easy to lose in the car park.

It is a bit of a shame that they’re only taking an interest in the E92 M3 as it’s getting ready to leave the scene and be replaced, but some charming products do appear.

Miami based tuning company, Velos Designwerks, had a proper look around the E92 BMW M3 and found a few areas it could be improved.

The starting place for the changes is unusual for a street tuning company. They started off by fitting Brembo brakes, something a racing team would do.

The E92 BMW M3’s standard suspension is replaced by a lowering kit from KW, the V3, obviously. This is the system which allows lowering and raising of ride height as well as stiffness adjustment.

After that, the American tuner heads for less surprising teritory as the 4.0 liter V8 receives an ESS VT625 supercharger kit.

This system creates so much boost that the powerplant now delivers an extra 200 horsepower. This sort of a difference obviously creates new necessities.

Somehow, Velos Designwerks worked out that we don’t really care about the list of supporting mods and are just happy to look at the new body kit.

Those new carbon fiber bits, together with the dark bronze custom lightweight forged alloy wheels go together beautifully underneath the white paint.

I’d say the Velos Designwerks E92 BMW M3 package came together beautifully. I only wish they said what tires they’re running it on.

In true American style, the X5 M first has to stand out of the crowd. We wouldn’t want to be confused with the average Joe who drives such a high performance SUV.

Right now I’m seriously considering changing my name to Joe, just for the annoyance factor. Velos Designwerks did a surprisingly good job on the new look.

There’s no point in questioning the taste of a newcomer to the BMW X5 modifying club because they used a body kit made by iND.

The wheel choice isn’t the most fortunate as it seems a little too drift-car-like. Also in the outsourced segment we find the suspension system and braking kit.

It’s nice to see more people focusing on the handling aspects of the equation and with the Velos Designwerks E70 BMW X5 M they opted for KW suspension and Brembo brakes.

Quite the nice combination, one that should serve the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine well. I must have forgotten to mention the fact that it gets some extra punch as well.

A Stage 2 Velos performance tune and Akrapovic piping go in with 645 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 631 lb-ft of torque at 3500 rpm coming out.

Decent deal we’d say and even without knowing the price tag stuck onto this car. When you break down the component cost, things are looking even better.

You can have the whole conversion for less than 10.000 USD not including the suspension and brake kit.
